In Matthew 11:28-30 (NKJV), the word of God emphatically declares of His Son, Jesus Christ, (28) “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. (29) Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. (30) For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”
Are you hurting? Jesus said, “Come to Me…!”
Are you disappointed? Jesus said, “Come to ME…!”
Are you sad and lonely? Jesus said, “Come to Me…!”
Are you grieving? Jesus said, “Come to Me…!”
Are you just trying to figure out what to do?
Jesus said, “Come to Me… and you will find rest for your souls…
Then God’s word admonishes us in Isaiah 26:3-4, “You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You. (4) Trust in the LORD forever, for in YAH, the LORD, is everlasting strength.” Thank You, LORD for the faithfulness of Your powerful word that does not return void (Isaiah 55:11). I will purpose to keep my mind focused on You, LORD because You are the Alpha and Omega (Revelation 1:8)—the beginning and end to all that is needed for life and godliness. LORD, thank You for inviting us to come to You and Jesus Christ where there is rest, peace, strength and everything that we will ever need.
