God’s word in Isaiah 32:17-18 (NKJV) declares, (17) “The work of righteousness will be peace, and the effect of righteousness, quietness and assurance forever. (18) My people will dwell in a peaceful habitation, in secure dwellings, and in quiet resting places…” Praise God for the comfort that His word always brings. That’s why it is so important for us to stay focused on God’s word. His word declares peace to us (His people) when we walk in righteousness (right standing with God). It’s God’s promise, a guarantee, that THE RESULT OF His people WALKING IN RIGHTEOUSNESS is quietness forever. Then God (in His graciousness) reiterates His promise, in case we didn’t comprehend it the first time. God promises that we will be able to live in PEACEFUL HABITATION, SECURE LIVING, and QUIET RESTING PLACES, but we have to live our lives daily according to God’s guidelines in His word. Oh, how I love God’s wonderful, powerful word!!! It not only brings peace, but all that we will ever need for life and godliness. LORD GOD, thank You for the benefits of peace that come from Your AWESOME WORD. Thank You, JEHOVAH SHALOM, The LORD our PEACE!!!
