The word of God is emphatic in James 1:2-4 (NKJV) when He instructs us on how to deal with trials, tests, or temptations. (2) “My brethren, COUNT IT ALL JOY WHEN YOU FALL INTO VARIOUS TRIALS, (3) knowing that THE TESTING OF YOUR FAITH PRODUCES PATIENCE. (4) But LET PATIENCE HAVE ITS PERFECT WORK, THAT YOU MAY BE PERFECT AND COMPLETE, LACKING NOTHING.” This is such a powerful Scripture!!! Now, I must remember when the test/trial comes, to COUNT IT ALL JOY. Therefore, setbacks are another opportunity to COUNT IT ALL JOY, knowing that my faith is being tested. Also, knowing that I can pass the test IF I put my trust in God and let Him develop my patience and let Him give me the victory. I must pass the test using God’s guidelines (His word). When people’s attitudes get in my way. I have to pray, give the situation to God, and COUNT IT ALL JOY. When repairs in my home show up at the most inconvenient times, I have to pray and COUNT IT ALL JOY—knowing that my God can make a way out of no way. When my health is being challenged, I have to say to myself, “This is just a test!” Am I going to let my countenance fall or am I going to pray, trust my God, and COUNT IT ALL JOY (even in the midst of seeking medical advice)? When the world around me is going crazy, I have to say to myself, “This is just a trial, pray, trust God and COUNT IT ALL JOY.” If I focus on God and His word, I will grow in my faith and develop patience. Then my God will be pleased with me and He will meet me at my point of need. God’s word says I’ll be ‘PERFECT (MATURE) AND COMPLETE LACKING NOTHING.’ Oh, how I love God’s sweet word!!! Wonderful Lord, I bless You and thank You for showing me how to look at any situation in life and COUNT IT ALL JOY.
