JESUS CHRIST IS OUR PEACE!

Barbara Perkins‎

JESUS CHRIST IS OUR PEACE!
Who can change our situations of confusion, even anxiety? Or, where do we turn to bring peace into a situation? God’s word in Philippians 4:6-7 (NKJV) encourages us to: “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Jesus Christ is our peace (Ephesians 2:14-18)! Jesus can bring peace into any situation when we surrender our lives to Him and God in prayer and giving thanks. There is a situation in John 14:27 when Jesus’ disciples were feeling anxiety and He strengthened them with, “Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. Jesus Christ gives us a peace that neither the world, nor the things of the world can give us. Then in John 16:33, Jesus (preparing His disciples for His crucifixion and departure) said, “These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” Jesus lets us know that in the world we will have trials/ tribulations, but He also let us know that in Him we my have peace. That’s the good news of the Gospel! I have given Jesus Christ my heart because I want to live in His peace. You can live in Jesus’ peace also, just invite Him into your heart to be your Lord and Savior. Jesus loves us so much and I love Him too, as well as His Father, my God. Thank You, Lord Jesus for Your peace.

SEEK HIM

 Charles H. Perkins

(Hebrews 11:6) But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently SEEK HIM.
Only those who seek God receive His true blessings. Those who only seek blessings do not.

G. G. G.

Barbara Perkins‎

G. G. G.
There are many, many acronyms that explain where we can go to get desperately needed help. Here is the best acronym for us: G. G. G. It stands for GOD the Father, GOD the Son and the Holy Spirit of GOD—GOD in the morning, GOD in the evening and GOD at the mid night hour. God will meet our every need in any given situation. Are you lost and in need of a Savior? Seek GOD! He is Jehovah Tsidkenu—the LORD our Righteousness. GOD promises to bring us into a right relationship with Himself though His Son, Jesus Christ. Are you sick? Seek GOD! He is Jehovah Raphah—the LORD our Healer. Are you living in chaos? Seek GOD! He is Jehovah Shalom—the LORD our peace. Are you in a battle with someone or something? Seek GOD! He is Jehovah Nissi—the LORD our Banner, a symbol of GOD’S deliverance and mighty salvation in our victory. Are you sad and lonely? Seek GOD! He is Jehovah Shammah—the LORD is there. The presence of the LORD is there (with you wherever you are). Do you have to make a decision and you do not know what to do? Seek GOD! He is Jehovah Rohi—the LORD our Shepherd. Did someone “wrong you” and you just have to pay them back? Seek GOD! He is Jehovah Gmolah—the LORD of recompenses. GOD repays, rewards, or compensates (for us). What bothers you? Seek God! He is Jehovah Jireh—our provider. GOD is El Shaddai—Almighty. He is all sufficient GOD and more than enough to meet our every need. I love GOD’S redemptive names and these are only a few of them; however, they are so POWERFUL. But, we have to be willing to be led by the Spirit of GOD. Almighty GOD is always our answer! Glory to GOD!!! Hallelujah!!! Glory to GOD!!!

BLESS THE LORD!

Barbara Perkins‎

BLESS THE LORD!
In Psalm 103:1 (NKJV), the Psalmist David expressed his gratefulness for the LORD. “Bless the Lord, O my soul; and all that is within me, bless His holy name!” When I think about the goodness of the LORD, my soul cries out: LORD, I bless You! LORD, I praise You! LORD, I worship and adore You because You are so wonderful and I am so grateful. Thank You for bringing my family and me into a bright New Year with all of its limitless possibilities through You. LORD, thank You for always showing us Your love, mercy and grace. Thank You! Thank You! Thank You, LORD! I bless You, LORD and I honor You because You are worthy of all my praise.
