JESUS CHRIST IS OUR PEACE!
Who can change our situations of confusion, even anxiety?
Or, where do we turn to bring peace into a situation? God’s word in Philippians
4:6-7 (NKJV) encourages us to: “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by
prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to
God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your
hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Jesus Christ is our peace (Ephesians
2:14-18)! Jesus can bring peace into any situation when we surrender our lives
to Him and God in prayer and giving thanks. There is a situation in John 14:27
when Jesus’ disciples were feeling anxiety and He strengthened them with,
“Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I
give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. Jesus
Christ gives us a peace that neither the world, nor the things of the world can
give us. Then in John 16:33, Jesus (preparing His disciples for His crucifixion
and departure) said, “These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may
have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I
have overcome the world.” Jesus lets us know that in the world we will have
trials/ tribulations, but He also let us know that in Him we my have peace.
That’s the good news of the Gospel! I have given Jesus Christ my heart because
I want to live in His peace. You can live in Jesus’ peace also, just invite Him
into your heart to be your Lord and Savior. Jesus loves us so much and I love
Him too, as well as His Father, my God. Thank You, Lord Jesus for Your peace.
