In Psalm 95:6-11 (NKJV) the word of God declares, (6) “Oh come, let us worship and bow down; Let us kneel before the Lord our Maker. (7) For He is our God, and we are the people of His pasture, and the sheep of His hand. TODAY, IF YOU WILL HEAR HIS VOICE: (8) “DO NOT HARDEN YOUR HEARTS, AS IN THE REBELLION, AS IN THE DAY OF TRIAL IN THE WILDERNESS, (9) WHEN YOUR FATHERS TESTED ME; THEY TRIED ME, THOUGH THEY SAW MY WORK. (10) For forty years I was grieved with that generation, and said, ‘It is a people who go astray in their hearts, and they do not know My ways.’ (11) So I swore in My wrath, ‘They shall not enter My rest.’” LORD, help us (Your people) purpose to live our lives trusting You with the desire to please You. I pray that worshipping You and showing You reverence will be our goal each day. LORD, make us hear Your voice TODAY—through Your powerful word. Please open the spiritual eyes of Your people so that our heart’s desire will be to READ and OBEY YOUR WORD, INSTEAD OF HARDENING OUR HEARTS AND REBELLING AGAINST YOUR PLANS FOR OUR LIVES. LORD GOD, thank You for being longsuffering with us—giving us another chance to get right. My heart is so grateful for the compassion and lovingkindness that You show us daily—in spite of ourselves. You are an AWESOME GOD!
