WHO IS GOD, “I AM,” TO ME?

BARBARA E. PERKINS

WHO IS GOD, “I AM,” TO ME?

The LORD GOD is “I AM” to me—YAHWEH. He “always is” what I need in the midst of any situation. The following familiar Scriptures give a glimpse into some of the powerful attributes of this magnificent, incredible GOD that I love and serve. The word of God in Psalm 18:1-3 (KJV) proclaims, “I will love thee, O Lord, my strength. 2 The Lord is my ROCK, and my FORTRESS, and my DELIVERER; my GOD, my STRENGTH, in whom I will trust; my BUCKLER, and the HORN of my SALVATION, and my HIGH TOWER. 3 I will call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine enemies.” Then Psalm 91:1-2 boldly declares, “He that dwelleth in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. 2 I will say of the Lord, He is my REFUGE and my FORTRESS: my GOD; in him will I TRUST.” Who is the LORD GOD, “I AM,” to me? As the Scriptures attest to the LORD GOD—YAHWEH is everything to me and in any situation! He is my Rock, my Fortress, my Deliverer, my God, my Strength, my Buckler (protection), my Refuge, my Salvation and my High Tower (protection). The LORD GOD can be all of these things in your life also, and so much more.
Would you like to invite God’s Son, Jesus Christ, into your heart and experience a wonderful relationship with God and with Jesus Christ? If you do pray this prayer: Dear God, I believe in my heart that Jesus Christ is Your Son. I believe that Jesus died on the cross, shed His blood, and rose from the grave for my salvation. I confess Him right now as my Savior and Lord. God fill me with your Holy Spirit so that I can live a life that pleases You. In Jesus’ Name! Amen! If you prayed this prayer you are saved. Welcome to God’s Family!
